Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Doody made her acting debut in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, after receiving notice from the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody is listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors in 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond part. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. Doody performed the role of Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist for forensics in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery her agent as well as girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody played a role in The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014.
