Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 on the 18th of November at Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was evident from the moment she enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix came in second place in the 200-meter event on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports organization Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. The first Olympic medal was at the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest ever world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her races.
